
The car kept moving down the long highway. The music was loud, filling the small space with heavy bass and drums. Gius was focused on the road, humming along. But in the back seat, the air was thick and hot.
Armman looked up at Nelly. "Sit up a little," he whispered. Nelly felt a shiver go down her back. She shifted her weight, lifting herself off his lap just a few inches. She heard the metal click of a buckle. Then the sound ot leather sliding through belt loops. Her heart started to hammer against her ribs.
